Summer Reading Extravaganza!

Join LVSA this summer for our Reading Extravaganza!  Every person will receive a reading log to keep track of books you read this summer.  Prizes will be given to the adult learner who reads the most books and pages, to the volunteer tutor who reads the most books and pages, to the volunteer tutor who reads the most books and pages and to the tutor/learner pair who reads the most books and pages!  Prizes will be handed out at an End-of-Summer Picnic on Thursday, August 7th, 2008.  Book logs are due back in the office by July 31st so that we may determine who has won.

Scrabble for Literacy

Are you up for the challenge, fun and excitement of the 3rd Annual SCRABBLE® Spellebration?  If so, get ready to flex your mental muscles.  Game and word lovers are prepared to shake their tile bags and rack their brains.

The LVSA SCRABBLE Spellebration is not your ordinary game of SCRABBLE.  Each team consists of up to five individuals working collaboratively with selected tiles to create the highest scoring board.  Teams are engaged in friendly competition with other teams to win a trophy and support literacy in northern Delaware.
